What is the Senstroke beginner mode ?
The new update of our application brings an important new feature that is very much requested by the redison community : the implementation of a beginner mode that allows you to play in a few seconds.
The application now has two modes : the beginner mode, and the advanced mode.
You already knew the advanced mode, available since the sensors’ release.
It allows the user to configure a fully customized drum kit, as it is possible to create a drum kit with the desired number of elements (snare drum, cymbals, toms, etc…), place them in any position (cushion, knees, training pad) and play.
I invite you to read our advanced mode configuration guide if you want more information on this subject.
However, the drumkit configuration operation can be tiresome and takes some time to set up.
It is after consulting your opinions and ideas on social networks and on our Redison forum that we decided to offer you a simplified and ultra intuitive play mode: the Senstroke beginner mode.
Senstroke Beginner Mode: ideal for learn how to play drums without drumkit
When you launch the application, the Senstroke Beginner Mode is enabled by default.
All you have to do is connect your sensors, and you can play with a drumkit made up of a snare drum, hi-hat, ride cymbal and bass drum pedal.
So it is now possible to play directly by launching the application without going through the configuration step of the play area: it is a “plug & play” solution.
You can learn more about how to configure the beginner mode by reading our beginner mode configuration guide, which has been designed to be intuitive and fast: all steps have been simplified as much as possible to provide a comfortable and simple user experience.
This feature is ideal when you need to play quickly with a small drumkit, such as when playing with another musician or learn how to play drums.

In addition, its ease of installation gives the beginner mode a very special status with children.
We also implemented a very useful feature : the ability to reconfigure your kit instantly. A simple press on the sensors, pointing towards the snare drum, is all it takes to redefine its drum kit in relation to it.
This solution allows you to move around as you wish and play back with your drum kit with just one press of the sensors !

The beginner mode is not the only major update recently available.
Indeed, the possibility to register directly under Android was proposed during a previous update.
